To address the Clean Water Project, the Metropolitan District has established a Program Management Unit. This group is responsible for managing the planning, design and construction of the projects. The unit will be staffed by a focused group of engineers and communications, finance and other specialists, who will be assisted by consultants as needed.

Establishing a dedicated program management team allows the MDC to use State funding to support its cost. The unit's work is programmed to be completed in 15 to 20 years.
